TRANSFER TALK
Diario Madridista report that 23-year-old (24 in August) Real Madrid centre-forward Mariano Diaz wants to join Tottenham Hotspur.
We have been following Mariano Díaz Mejía, simply known as Mariano, this season where he scored 5 goals plus a further 2 assists in 14 games, although his game time was only a total of 302 minutes in all competitions (equivalent to just 3.36 games).
He played 8 LaLiga games totalling 114 minutes, equivalent to 1.27 games, scoring 1 goal and having 1 assist. The goal came against Deportivo La Coruna who finished 16th and his assist came in the return fixture away. He came on as a sub for a few minutes against Barcelona.
His other 4 goals were in 5 Copa del Rey games, consisting of 183 minutes, a goal every 46 minutes. The right-footed Dominican Republic striker (he has 1 full international cap scoring 1 goal) is under contract until 2021.
Real Madrid look set to sell him this summer and will want their usual buyback clause which we won't entertain. Everton have just found out to their cost that a buyback clause isn't a good idea losing
Gerard Deulofeu back to Barcelona.
The report suggest we have made enquiries for the player and are very interested in securing his services ahead of the new season. We are not alone in our interest, Real Betis, Malaga and Atlético Madrid are tracking him too, but his preference is for Spurs. he needs game time and simply can't get it at the Spanish Champions.

So what happens to Janssen who’s finally getting his shit together after, let’s face it, only 2 seasons at the top levels?
If they both stay less playing time for either player…
So what’s the point?
Do you see Poch going with two up front?
So who’s he going to drop out of our three ATM’s (two of whom have scored 20goals+ and the other registered more than 20 assists last season)?
Why on earth would Poch seek to disrupt a front four that will reek havoc next season?
They must be putting weird stuff in big macs these days…
Not every player is a ‘Deli Alli’…you have to be patient with a player’s development…it’s an individual process, there is no common denominator.
