Sitting pretty

SWANS vs SPURS

Swans-vs-Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur, after this weekend's set of results, are sitting pretty in second place and favourites to secure UEFA Champions League football for a second successive season for the first time.

We flopped in the UEFA Champions League this season and let's face it, we flopped in the UEFA Europa League as well. Our Premier League form though, particularly at White Hart Lane, has been imperious, the best in fact. Won 8, drawn 2 lost 1 is better than even Chelsea can muster.

Our home form is the best in the country, won 13, drawn 2 lost 0 including a run of 10 straight wins. We have four home fixtures remaining, Watford, Bournemouth, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Away from home we have Swansea City, Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Hull City and a to be arranged game against Leicester City.

Five away games, four home games. before this week the fixture list looked like this:

Every game has become important, every game carries pressure, but pressure is merely an internal thing. Everyone has a choice whether to bow to pressure or controlo it. I guess we are going to find out what the players have learnt from last season and how they handle the pressure this season.
