Portuguese scouting trip revealed

TRANSFER TALK
I see the Evening Standard have picked up on my story of our rare scouting trip to Portugal, now that we no longer have a specialist scout based in the region.
Article 1st March: Spurs on rare scouting trip to Portugal
I knew we had sent a scout out there to watch the Vitória de Setúba and Sporting Braga game that ended 1-1. What I didn't know at the time was who it was were interested in and rather than take a guess left it to the press to do their digging and come up with a name.
The player in question it seems, is another youngster, 19-year-old (20 on 9 March )attacking midfielder Joao Carvalho who is on loan at Vitória de Setúba from Benfica. The right-footed Portuguese Under-21 international plays in a position where we need extra cover, now that Erik Lamela seems to have disappeared from the Premier League.
Very early days to consider this as anything but scouting but as we do a lot of game analysis before sending a scout in person, he is clearly a player of interest.
