Pochettino has transformed Tottenham

Craig Burley is currently an ESPN television pundit and commentator. He is a former Scottish international midfielder who played in the Premier League for Chelsea and Derby County and in the Scottish Premier League for Celtic. He won the FA Cup in 1996/97 and was runner-up in 1993/94, both for Chelsea, the Scottish League Championship and Scottish League Cup in 1997/98 with Celtic.

Speaking on an ESPN football analysis show, Burley felt that Tottenham with their defensive consistency were the only challengers to Chelsea, but they won't catch them. He felt Liverpool are too erratic, Arsenal are is disarray and Manchester City are either great or terrible.

Shaka Hislop CM is also a pundit on ESPN and a former goalkeeper for Newcastle United, finishing second in the Premier League for two successive seasons under Kevin Keegan, Reading, West Ham United, where he won an FA Cup Runner-up medal and Portsmouth, where he won the 1st Division in 2002/03.

Hislop predicted a draw an Anfield on Saturday with Liverpool doing well against top six teams, their problems coming against everyone else.

He also felt the transformation at Tottenham since Pochettino arrived in May 2014 has been astounding. He took over an expensive and underperforming squad and turned them into the youngest squad in the Premier League. Last season was the best finish since 1989/90 season and that has been achieved with an incredible net spend of just £1m compared to Manchester City at over £400m.

Spurs are in a better position long-term than Manchester City and Manchester United, plus will be moving into a new stadium so as a business Spurs are moving in the right direction. Sir Alex Ferguson when making speeches to business men and on the BBC suggests that to have a successful football club, you first have to have a successful business supporting it.
