Tottenham to finish third

Everyone is having a guess where teams will finish this season. Recently we had an American website asking it writers and Tottenham would finish second in their eyes.

Now the Guardian journalists have voted on how they see the season going. Journalists are simply fans like you and I and while the number in the poll is small, a few of you will no doubt take comfort from their consensus that we will finish third this season.

The season starts at the weekend for Tottenham with a sold out fixture away to Everton followed by a home game against Crystal Palace.

Guardian Top 6 Prediction

  1. Manchester United
  2. Manchester City
  3. Tottenham Hotspur
  4. Chelsea
  5. Arsenal
  6. Liverpool
Quite a few are putting manchester United first it seems, a new manager, new players that have yet to gel, a new system to master, there are plenty of obstacles to overcome for Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, all who are in the same boat.

stability is our key asset, as well as having Mauricio Pochettino, a better manager than most. Manchester City and Chelsea have managers unproven in the Premier League and while you would expect them to be a success there is no guarantee of that, especially Conte at Chelsea.

I'm not sure this season is going to be as straight forward as some seem to think. We have the Champions League to overcome and the weakening of our Premier League side as a result. Do we have the depth in squad to handle that, especially among the attacking three midfield places?

The answer to that question may decide our season.
