Supporting, Vorm and Joao Mario

TRANSFER TALK

If you haven't caught up with this one yet then have a read. Why does someone become a fan of a team and how do you choose them. We all come from different routes to the one conclusion, we are Tottenham Hotspur, we are unique, there is only one Hotspur.

Michel Vorm had been linked but it looked unlikely that Celtic could afford his wages. Perhaps that is dead in the water as Brendan Rogers has signed a different Dutch goalkeeper. Dorus De Vries has been at Nottingham Forest for three seasons but now the 35-yar-old is having a medical in Glasgow. The former Swansea City and Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper will then sign a 2-year contract.

Does that put in doubt our chase for Pau Lopez this window and if so will we go back for him next summer? I can't see him being signed as a number three or Michel Vorm dropping down to that role just yet.

Sporting Lisbon‘s president Bruno de Carvalho told Sporting TV that he can not force 23-year-old (24 next January) Joao Mario to stay and will talk over interesting proposals. There are reports of Liverpool and Chelsea chasing him but Inter Milan seems to be at the front of the queue.

“We are open to interesting proposals. The best deals are when there is not the need. The clubs are not made to retain players to life, it is not in our plans, we do not have this need. we are a club like the others and we are willing to open up and talk, we can not force anyone to stay.”
