Burton sign attacking midfielder Miller on loan

TRANSFER TALK

Tottenham youngster Will Miller has joined Burton Albion on loan for the rmainder of the year. Miller is an attacking midfielder, although Mauricio Pochettino gave him game time on the Australian trip at left-back.

The 20-year-old (21 next June) has been signed by Nigel Clough for the Championship side as reported by their official website.

“We have seen Will a few times with the under 23s and he was with their first team pre-season. He’s a bit different to what we have got. He can make goals and score goals.
“We have been waiting on loans and it’s a good time to get him and (subject to paperwork) he will be in the squad for the Derby game.”

Miller has signed until January 3 and told the club he'll help in any way he can and was looking forward to the opportunity.

“I’m very thankful for the opportunity and to be involved with this club which is moving forward so quickly. I will be happy to contribute in any way I can.”

Development football, however they redesign it doesn't provide youngsters with meaningful football, as all it is is development players playing development players, there is no battling for a place, no playing against experienced players. We have little choice but to use the loan system to develop players. A few games in a Cup isn't going to make much difference.

Windy is the man to turn to for youth news and he feels this will give Cy Goddard an opportunity, Iv'e been wondering what he has been up to.

Solid move for Will Miller, and this also opens up opportunities for Cy Goddard in the Under-23s.
