Bale: I went to Real Madrid to win the Champions League

Gareth Bale fulfilled his boyhood dream when he was transferred to Real Madrid in a world record fee, but merely playing for them was not enough. He wanted to run out in the all white and win the Champions League with them.

Of course, he has already done that and even scored the goal that put Real Madrid ahead in the 110th minute. Winning once though is not enough at Real Madrid, the culture is to keep winning and that is Gareth Bale's aim.

The 2016 final is going to be a repeat of the 2014 final Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid after this week's semi-final results which saw last year's winners Bayern Munich and Manchester City knocked out.

"The reason I came to Real Madrid was to win Champions Leagues. I've got one already, and I have got a chance to win another.

"I feel I'm growing up. My Spanish is improving a lot and I am increasingly integrated into the team. Beginnings are always difficult, but I think the hardest times have passed and right now I feel better every [day]."

It was Bale's deflected cross that beat Manchester City 1-0 and Bale has also netted the winner in the last two La Liga games. He is happy at Real Madrid and the club are happy with him so there is no chance him leaving regardless of what Manchester United or Manchester City want.
