Movement the key for Eriksen

Last season we dropped points at home to WBA if memory serves. in that game against a packed defence we lacked ideas and struggled to break them down. Christian Eriksen took a lot of criticism from many quarters. My analysis was that he needed off the ball movement to have opportunities for telling passes.

We were learning a new system at the time and against Stoke City tonight we saw the difference understanding a system and off the ball running make. Eriksen was unlucky not to win the Man of the Match award, his performance was top notch. His disguised passing and long balls show the sort of vision Glenn Hoddle displayed.

Kane and Alli take many of the plaudits for their finishing, but Eriksen should be receiving equal amounts. Lamela has finally found his feet this season after sorting his head out and he is producing consistent performances, perhaps even still improving this late in the season.

Four games left and five points behind. We did all we could to put  pressure on Leicester, now we have to wait for six days until they play again.
