Fans suggesting Spurs were poor, far from it

I look at Facebook and fans are saying we didn't play well, I look at Twiter and fan are saying we didn't play well. They clearly expect every game to be free flowing football, yet football is about winning.
I thought we played well, in the first half we were easily the better side. Manchestester City had their big four stars playing, a rarity this season and we kept them all quiet while we probed ourselves. Playing away from home against premier League winners is not like playing Crystal Palace. We were playing against better players, players who have seen and done it all.
In such circumstances you have to have a game plan and stick to it. Our objectives are to wear down an opposition, we constantly change sides and we make them run backwards and forwards across the field. We then expect them to start getting tires and slowing down so gaps appear, especially on a full-size pitch.
We managed the game and the game plan, w came under severe pressure and took advantage of poor decision-making at the centre of their defence to hit the winner. The work we had done previously was partly responsible for that.
City really offered nothing before we were awarded a penalty for jumping with a raised arm, Sterling only has himself to blame. We then tried to play keep ball and dropped back too much, a bad old Tottenham trait. They pulled one back when our midfielders didn't track the City runner and he was in a wide open space to level it. We hung on for a bit, our passes were going astray, Son was troubled by the speed of the game, Kane was isolated but as they pressed we struck.
Dembele moved the ball to substitute Lamela after we had won the ball back again near the half way line. He ran direct at the heart of the defence, played a delightful through ball to find an intelligent run for Eriksen who tucked it past Hart to celebrate his 24th birthday.
It was a very professional performance and a pleasure to watch. Did we play poorly, far from it.
