Spurs fans should hope Adebayor is a success

Alan Pardew has been practicing his Emmanuel Adebayor salute ahead of his club signing the Togo international until the end of the season.

With Adebayor signing for Crystal palace until the end of the season he will be off the wage bill and with Andros Townsend also off the wage bill we will be making a £140,000-a-week saving.

Adebayor will be able to get himself fit throughout February and he should be motivated to produce the goods as he tries to prove to any potential suitors that he is worth a contract next season. From what I gather he is on £77,000-a-week at Palace.

Moving into March Crystal Palace have Manchester United away on 12 March, then Leicester City at Selhurst Park on 19 March.

In April Palace play West Ham away on 2 April, Arsenal away on 16 April, another game he should be motivated for. As Spurs fans we should be hoping he does well against our rivals, especially as we don't have to play Palace again in the league.

If he can help palace take points off Manchester United, Leicester City and Arsenal it can only help our cause.
