Simon, Berahino, Wanyama

The Sunday papers are linking Spurs with plenty of players in readiness for the January transfer window.
We have been undertaking a lot of scouting in Belgium where the youngsters are brought through a system that sees them playing in a 4-3-3 formation, as it is felt this produces more rounded footballers. Who can argue when you look at the current crop of stars they have.
There have already been reports linking us to Eden Hazard's 22-year-old (23 next March) Belgian brother Thorgan Hazard although he plays in Germany for Borussia Monchengladbach. We had scouts at the recent Belgium under-21 game so our Belgian contingent might be growing in the near future.
A Nigerian who we have been watching extensively in Belgium is 20-year-old (21 next July) Moses Simon, currently playing for Gent (not Genk who are another Belgian side). He is dual footed and can play anywhere across the three attacking roles, he has played three this season as a centre-forward, three as a left-sided attacker and one on the left of midfield.
We had scouts watching him last season and whenever he played in June and July. We again had scouts at his last game and the Daily Star feel we are going to make a move for the former Ajax youth player.
There are other reports suggesting we have made an enquiry for 26-year-old (27 next January) central midfielder Axel Witsel of Zenit St Petersburg. AC Milan and Juventus both unsuccessfully tried to sign him this summer and as he goes into the final year of his contract in the summer clubs are circling for hoping for a bargain.
The Telegraph has come up with an unoriginal story suggesting we will return for Saido Berahino in January. The 22-year-old (23 in August) enters the final year of his contract in the summer so his price will stat to plummet. If WBA wants a decent figure for him they have to do business in January or see about £10-million wiped off his price.
The Sun has come up with an equally unoriginal story suggesting we will try to sign Southampton's Victor Wanyama in January. The 24-year-old (24 next June) enters the final year of his contract in the summer so unless he signs a new one Southampton will be looking to sell him. They have a policy of not allowing players to run down their contract so if there are no signs he is going to sign a new one they will try to cash in, no doubt putting an inflated price on him as they do for all their players.
None of the stories need any new information and can all be cobbled together, as appears to be the case, from guesswork based on previous activity and contract lengths.
Further Tottenham Reading
Spurs should be measured against ourselves, not others
Spurs - Stadium-led regeneration
From money mercenaries to a side that plays for the shirt
Spurs maintain an interest in Brazilian striker Pato
