Spurs fans have nothing to worry about

Far too much has been made of the fact that Harry Kane hasn't scored in 4 games for Tottenham, he should have done, but hasn't.

Spurs fans have nothing to worry about with Kane

Talk of a drought is plain daft, but the popular press like drama, it makes the gullible buy papers. Harry Kane has not lost his touch, he scored in pre-season friendlies when the pressure was on him to perform for expectant crowds, he duly delivered to delight the marketing men.

For England he showed confidence wasn't an issue with his finish against San Marino. The opposition didn't matter, the execution did, it wasn't the finish of a striker lacking any confidence, indeed it was one that marked him down as quality. he didn't put a nervous foot through it, he didn't play it low to be saved by the keeper, he dinked it over him to finish with aplomb.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright, himself a fair finisher in his day, has matured as a panelist and he is impressed with Kane and his finishing. It shows great respect that he calls his former managers gaffer and he has calmed down now to provide us with a few insights into his former trade. When a finisher talks about another as a finisher and calls for him to play rather than sit on the bench you take notice.

Kane followed up the Sam Marino game with a game-changing goal against Switzerland yesterday and now hopes that goal-scoring touch will continue when he returns to Tottenham and Premier League action.

"Any striker wants to be scoring goals, so it's great to come away and get a couple. I'll go back and focus on Spurs but if I don't score at the weekend it's not the end of the world.
"Hopefully I can get some chances for the club now and start scoring goals and really kick on this season. Kane is also hopeful that he can one day overtake Rooney as England's top scorer.
"Rooney has set the mark and will probably go on to score quite a few more hopefully for us. We'll see where he ends up and hopefully I'll be chasing him down. I'm sure he's very proud of what he has achieved."

Three goals in four international appearances is a good start, three goals in the next four Spurs games would go down well too, he'll certainly be trying, but it's nothing for Spurs fans to worry about.
