Poch not a Veljkovic fan, Partizan want him

Are the days of young 19-year-old (20 later this month) prospect Miloš Veljković numbered?

Poch not a Veljkovic fan, Partizan want him

In August he was reported both here and in Spain as having travelled to join Sporting Gijon on a loan deal, clearly there was a change of heart because the Under-20 World Cup winner was back playing as a defensive midfielder in the Development Squad defeat to Reading last night.

Veljković is currently playing for the Development Squad, but Tottenham Academy have suggested that Mauricio Pochettino is not a fan.

he played DM today. Poch doesn't rate him because he lacks 'intensity' and 'energy', which is ridiculous in my opinion.

Pochettino likes players who have high intensity, high energy, we know that as he has emphasised that that is our style to the press on a number of occasions. Players like Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb, Harry Kane fit the bill, the passion and determination they play with comes shining through, whereas a player like Tom Carroll perhaps has to work a bit harder to impress. He has been overtaken by Dele Alli, another who has that energy Pochettino is looking for.

Miloš Veljković is not that sort of player, he is more a calm, collected, assured type. If it is true Pochettino doesn't rate him then Partizan Belgrade and nor QPR may be his next destination. The tweet below, from what appears to be a Spurs fan, suggests the Serbian club want him in January.

belgrade sports tv said that partizan belgrade will try to sign milos veljkovic from tottenham hotspur in january 2016 transfer window

QPR are interested in a loan deal before then so perhaps he may go there on loan until January and then decide his next move after a meeting with Pochettino to discuss his future.
