One personal favourite of mine is Micky Hazard, I have a lot of favourites from the Hoddle, Perryman, Archblad, Miller, Roberts era, players like Alfie Conn.
I always though Hazard was unlucky to be around at the sae time as Hoddle, he'd have got more recognition in a different era perhaps. He came down from up north and there is an excellent interview with him in the Sunderland Echo about his homecoming which reveals the thoughts running through a players head when they face an old club.
For that reason alone it's well worth a read.
