Njié arrives for medical, £45k terms agreed

Clinton Njié has arrived in London for his medical at Tottenham after agreeing terms, a five-year contract worth £45,000-a-week, all that needs settling is how the fee is going to be paid.
That is still under negotiation. It helps Lyon if they get a bigger initial payment or have it totally as instalment payments over the length of his contract with Spurs, but it suits Spurs to reduce the fee and increase add-ons that may or may not need to be paid depending upon whether the conditions are met.
Hugo Lloris for instance would probably have had a clause in the deal that Spurs would have to pay a set amount if we qualified for the UEFA Champions League and as we haven't yet that add-on isn't payable. There were a lot of add-ons in the Lloris deal which means we got him for a snip.
