Audi Cup Squad poses plenty of questions

Tottenham have announced the Audi Cup squad for the upcoming games in Germany, first against Real Madrid and then against either Bayern Munich or AC Milan. Two players we won't be playing against are Ronaldo and Benzema, neither have been included in the Real Madrid squad.

Hugo Lloris is in the party again, he travelled to the USA but as expected didn't play in the MLS All-Star game, Vorm and McGee undertook the duties. The injury Lloris had takes about 6 weeks to heal which would by 6 August so it's touch and go whether he'll be ready for Manchester United.  I don't see it mattering if he has had any pre-season friendlies or not, such is his importance to us.

Michel Vorm
Hugo Lloris
Luke McGee
Kieran Trippier
Kyle Walker
Danny Rose
Ben Davies
Eric Dier
Federico Fazio
Toby Alderweireld
Kevin Wimmer
Jan Vertonghen
Nabil Bentaleb
Ryan Mason
Harry Winks
Dele Alli
Mousa Dembele
Tom Carroll
Josh Onomah
Christian Eriksen
Erik Lamela
Nacer Chadli
Harry Kane
Harry Kane being the only striker named tells you Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor won't be with us this season, Chadli is a stop-gap striker at the moment in the same way Gareth Bale was at times.

Will Walker start ahead of Trippier again, are Alderweireld and Vertonghen now our first-choice central defensive pairing, does Rose start ahead of Davies, who partners Bentaleb, will Yedlin be brought on in midfield?

Still plenty of questions to answer and the progress of Tom Carroll, Alex Pritchard and Dele Alli to watch for first-team places with Josh Onomah and Harry Winks developing as the next generation behind them

Spurs vs MLS All-Stars: Vorm (McGee, 63); Walker (Trippier, 46), Alderweireld (Fazio, 63), Vertonghen (Wimmer, 46), Davies (Rose, 63); Bentaleb (Carroll, 46), Dier (Winks, 63); Chadli (Yedlin, 63), Eriksen (Alli, 46), Dembele (Onomah, 63); Kane (Coulthirst, 77).
