£4.41m Lamala loan to Inter

Inter Milan are the latest club to make official enquiries for Érik Lamela and although Mauricio Pochettino says he is going nowhere reports suggest a deal has been agreed in principle.

The agreement in principle Sky Italia claim is for Inter Milan to take him to Serie A where he was so successful on season-long loan. The Italians had Lamela on a list of possibles if they failed to land Ivan Perišić.

That list included Serbian Adem Ljajić (23) of Rome, Argentinian Ezequiel Lavezzi (30) Paris Saint-Germain, Argentinian Erik Lamela (23) Tottenham, Spaniard José Callejón (28) Napoli, Italian Manolo Gabbiadini (23) Napoli and Belgian Dries Mertens (28) also of Napoli.

Gianluca di Marzio reports that Inter contacted Spurs yesterday and we agreed in principle to a loan for £4.41-million (€6m) with the option to buy at £10.30-million (€14m), the deal would net Spurs £14.71-million (€20m). It is not certain yet and there are further talks planned, but Perišić remains their number one target.

Inter are waiting on word from Wolfsburg and had issued them a deadline of Sunday to answer their request. Having hard no word they have contacted Tottenham and leaked the story to the Italian press. That is designed to put pressure on Wolfsburg to negotiate and if they don't them they will go for Lamela.

There are also stories starting to emerge that Spurs have asked about Bolasie if Lamela leaves, naturally the press are throwing figures at a potential deal after Alan Pardew issues a come and get him statement to the press before the weekend.
