Spurs Fiorentina or Malmo

With Brad Friedel retiring and Jordan Archer being released to join Millwall Tottenham are in need of a number three goalkeeper.

Luke NcGee trains regularly with the senior squad and went on the tour to USA and Canada last summer, also the trip to Malaysia and Australia this summer. He is however only 20 and needs to be playing to improve. Spurs are therefore on the lookout for an experienced goalkeeper to take over the number three duties for the upcoming season.

Our attentions have recently been turned on 33-year-old (34 in October) Swedish goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson playing for Kassimpassa in the Turkish Super Liga. Fiorentina have been following him and Malmo want to take him home.

Isaksson began his career at local club Trelleborgs FF, before joining Juventus for 18 months (1999 - 01) but with Edwin van der Sar in the way he never represented the Italians. He returned to Sweden winning two Allsvenskan titles at Djurgårdens in 2002 & 2003 plus the Svenska Cupen in 2002.

Two seasons at Stade Rennais (2004-06) followed and he then moved to Manchester City for £2 million, where he played 19 Premier League games and 1 League Cup game between 206 and 2008. The 108 cap Swedish international then spent four seasons in the Eredivisie at PSV Eindhoven (2008-12) before joining Kasımpaşa on a free transfer in July 2012.

Some like to have a payday, he'll still pick up a higher wage than he would in Sweden and some goalkeepers like to continue playing, it is wait and see what his preference is.
