Saints submit new offer for Alderweireld

Multiple reports and agents are saying that Toby Alderweireld has passed his medical for Tottenham after Daniel Levy agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid over the weekend in Ibiza, according to Mundo Deportivo.



Southampton it seems want to force him to play for a club he doesn't want to and after threatening legal action have now apparently submitted an improved offer. Meanwhile, Alderweireld was at Hotspur Way today journalists are reporting.

Whn Koeman says Alderweireld wants to join Southampton he has admitted he is actually referring to a conversation prior to the summer, things have now changed and he now wants to play alongside his childhood friend Jan Vertoinghen.

When he does sign we will be the first Premier League club to have four Belgians in their squad, Nacer Chadli, Mouse Dembele, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld.

  1. He can still turn down a contract by not agreeing personal terms, he can't be forced in to joining anyone! Southampton just want Madrid to honour the contract that was made. If anyone is in the wrong it's Madrid
  2. So Southampton bank the 1.5 million and then call foul. Yea just accept he wants to play at Tottenham and if there was a mistake made you shout loud and don't take the money.
