Carrasco, Ozil, Stambouli

Atlético Madrid have confirmed the signing of 21-year-old Monaco winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco on a five-year deal. The Belgian player has been signed as a replacement for Arda Turan who has joined Barcelona. Atlético have paid £10.79 million (US$16.73m - AUS$22.47m - €15m) for 75% of the rights of the player, Monaco retaining 25%. Such deals are not possible in the Premier League.

Tuttosport revealed that Juventus have offered £28.73 million (US$44.62m - AUS$59.89m - €40m) for Mesut Özil but any transfer will depend on the exit of either Paul Pogba or Arturo Vidal. Pogba is wanted by Barcelona next summer and Pogba wants to join them despite large offers from Manchester City and Chelsea.

Watford are still trying to convince defensive midfielder Benjamin Stambouli that his future lies at Vicarage Road and not White Hart Lane. Tottenham have agreed a fee with the Hornets, but Stambouli is reluctant to leave Tottenham after only one season. He is not a player that must be sold and Pochettino would have no problem if he stayed, however, he will have to up his game if he does.

The transfer policy at Spurs now is to sign players that will develop into top bracket players, it would be a challenging season for him. It depends upon what report you read, the newly promoted side are either still discussing or he is about to sign for them. This transfer is down to the player himself and where he wants to play, when he decides, we'll know.
