Tottenham watching Italian midfielder Soriano
Tottenham are on the look out for central midfielders and we have cast our net wide in search of names most of us in England have never heard of before this window.
I confess to being that situation about Roberto Soriano, a 24-year-old Italia midfielder who is interesting Manchester City, Schalke 04, Wolfsburg, Inter, AC Milan, Napoli and Lazio. He is a dual-footed German born central midfielder who has won 4 international caps for Italy. Born to Italian parents he initially came through the youth system at Bayern Munich before his career in Italy.
They playmaker can play on the wing or as an attacking midfielder and scored 4 goals with 5 assists in 33 Serie A games in 2014/15. Of the 29 league games he started, he was employed as an attacking midfielder on 15 occasions and a central midfielder on 14.
His contract with Sampdoria runs until 2017 and they are reported to want £10.65 million (US$16.76m - AUS$21.76m - €15m). Napoli are currently negotiating with Sampdoria in an attempt to get the fee lowered, but Lazio have now entered the race and begun talks as well.
