Sevilla chase Llorente to replace Bacca

Dual UEFA Europa League Champions FC Sevilla are planning for life without 28-year-old Colombian goalscorer Carlos Bacca.

The Italian media are reporting that AS Roma are in deep negotiations for Bacca and that Sevilla, who will now be taking part in the 2015/16 UEFA Champions League as a result, have started negotiations to secure the signature of Juventius forward Fernando Llorente.

Llorente, a former Tottenham target, has failed to gain a regular first team place at the Italian champions and cup winners ahead of their Champions League final against Barcelona, themselves going for a treble.

Juventus has already agreed to buy 21-year-old highly rated Paulo Dybala to replace Llorente and are expected to secure the signature of Sassoulo forward Simone Zaza, who they part own. Surplus to requirements, the 30-year-old former Athletic Bilbao striker has been the subject of an offer from Sevilla.

The Italians report interest again from ourselves and Valencia but his salary at Juventus is £2.52 million (US$3.82m - AUS$5.03m - €3.5m). That equates to £48,461-a-week (US$73,663 - AUS$96,840 - €67,413).

When you consider Roberto Soldado was on less than half that when we signed him from Valencia it is doubtful he will end up there. Sevilla offering Champions League football may well appeal though, unless he fancies a crack at the Premier League.
