The are striker movements taking place in Italy, Juventus have bought former Tottenham target Paulo Dybala and AC Milan are making moves to buy 28-year-old Colombian striker Jackson Martínez. That could mean Italian international striker Stephen El Shaarawy becomes available.
This time though it looks as if Jackson Martinez is eventually going to get his move to a bigger league which will disappoint Arsenal amongst others. Italian giants AC Milan need to revive their fortunes and are trying to buy Martínez to spearhead their attack next season.
Currently their CEO, Adriano Galliani, is deep in negotiating with Porto as to how to pay the £25.41 million (US$39.37m - AUS$50.93m - €35m) buyout clause. The Italians want to pay it in instalments, Porto would prefer a lump sum. As yet they haven't reached agreement.
Galliani is believed to have already agreed a four-year-deal with Martinez who will earn a reported £48,846-a-week (US$75,711 - AUS$113,519 - €67,307). The CEO revealed that plenty of clubs are after him and in the end it will be down to the player. The strikers agent, Luiz Henrique Pompeo, also admitted Milan were not the only club after his client.

Stephen El Shaarawy is a player we have scouted and continue to keep an eye on. The 22-year-old (23 in October) Italian international striker struggled with injury last season and there is plenty of interest in acquiring his services according his brother Manuel El Shaarawy, who is also his agent.
At the moment AC Milan are awaiting the appointment of a new coach, will he want Shaarawy, who has a contract until 2018, we'll have to wait and see but it seems they may well be adding to their ranks with Martinez.
Shaarawy is looking to play more football next season so the arrival of a new striker may push him towards the exit. They are talking to the representatives of 20-year-old striker M'Baye Niang, who is also looking for more game time next season according to his agent and is out of contract at the end of the month.
Niang has also interested us before and Milan can't play all these strikers who all want to play so it's a situation we no doubt have our eye on.

“We really like Milan, they’re a top club. But there’s another club at the table. I can’t confirm whether it’s Valencia, but it’s definitely a top club.
“A four-year deal? Yes, that’s the basis we’re working from. We have to meet with Galliani again either tomorrow or the day after, there are still things to be sorted out, a deal has not been reached.”

“He’s happy at Milan. Let’s see what happens with the team this summer, the transfer campaign seems a bit different from recent years.
“A move for El Shaarawy? There have been several teams interested, Stephan is a player who lots of teams like. There were several offers, both in January and now in the summer, offers which we looked at. We can’t rule anything out, the transfer market is always the transfer market.”
