Ayew to West Ham
1 min read
West Ham make a second bid for winger André Ayew report London 21, strange given he is a free agent, out of contract at the end of the month.
Presumably they mean to the player, presumably they mean they have increased the terms they are offering but it's unlikely West Ham will get to the wages he is after, they didn't want to pay more than £50,000-a-week (US$76,647 - AUS$99,640 - €68,231) to Emmanuel Adebayor according to reports in January and Ayew is after more than that reports earlier this year suggested.
Ayew has stated he wants Champions League football which Roma could have provided, however they pulled out because of his wage demands and word is we don't want to match them either. West Ham have crept into the UEFA Europa League via the Fair Play table and have to start in the 1st Qualifying Round which takes place on 2nd and 9th July, with the draw on 22nd June.
West Ham of course don't have a manager at the moment so David Sullivan is buying the players. It would be a surprise if he ended up there.
