Agent confirms Salah will choose where to play

Tottenham have been chasing Miohamed Salah for two years after an excellent display against us for Basel at White Hart Lane, we were however pipped by the spending power of Chelsea again.

He has not managed to break into the Chelsea team and was sent on a loan to Fiorentina, where he rediscovered his form. The Italians are desperate to keep him, they have a £1.5 million (US$2.33m - AUS$3.02m - €2.07m) loan option for another year and then a purchase option.

As reported earlier though it is the 22-year-old (23 later this month) Egyptian international who will decide his destination as he has a right of veto to any loan as his agent, Ulisse Savini has now conformed to Sport Italia.

"Fiorentina do have the option to extend the loan, but the player also has power of veto. Right now he is on international duty, but when he returns then he'll make a decision."

Salah is thought to want to stay in the Premier League but Chelsea don't want to do business with us, nor do we want to pay the inflated £18 million (US$27.54m - AUS$36.02m - €24.51m) Chelsea are asking. They only paid £11.79 million (US$18.04m - AUS$23.59m - €16.05m) in 2014.

A season long loan possibly with an option to buy id now being considered but we would prefer a straight purchase at the right price. Tottenham and Fiorentina are not the only two side interested in Salah, Turkish club Fenerbahçe are also after his signature and they are in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.
