A Spanish double swoop

Tottenham Hotspur and fought over the services of Barcelona youngster Gerard Deulofeu not so long ago and now he has become available again.
Three games in six years at the Spanish giants where places up front are always at a premium thanks to the presence of Lionel Messi, means he is discontent and asked for a move. Real Madrid have the same problem with Cristiano Ronaldo, both are not only the best but commercial goldmines.
He has been made available for £4.5 million (US$7.02m - AUS$9.07m - €6.23m) which interests his former loan homes Everton and UEFA Europa League winners Sevilla. Having tried to sin him before and in the market for young talent Tottenham are naturally interested along with West Ham United, they won't be the only sides though.
Tim Sherwood's recent comment that the technically better side usually wins is very true and Spanish players are brought up on technique, their coaching system has been light years ahead of ours and we are only just starting to catch up, however that will take time for us to see the benefits. In the final breed they are a different breed from us, we are still very much about power, the Spanish finesse.
I wrote recently about adding more Spanish youth to our academy (link below) and now we have the opportunity to negotiate for two players who have come through the Barcelona system, centre-back 24-year-old Marc Bartra and striker 23-year-old Deulofeu.
Tottenham would have to move fast as Everton are believed by the Liverpool Echo to have already agreed a fee for the winger.
Further Tottenham Reading
Spurs should be buying more Spanish youth
We need to arrest the decline with small improvements - April 2014
