50 cap Dutch winger on a free transfer

It was reported in the Spanish press back in April that Tottenham had made enquiries for 29-year-old (30 in April) Dutch winger Ibrahim Afellay.
His contract is coming to an end at Barcelona and he is one option being considered for us as he can also play as an attacking midfielder or on the right. He is another right footed who plays on the left. Barcelona have an option to extend his contract by 2 years but have decided to release him when his contract expires at the end of the month.
With Yevhen Konoplyanka wanting a £5 million signing on fee and £100,000-a-week wages he is an option that would give us further experience.
Afellay is a player we have looked at before but his time at Barcelona since his move from PSV Eindhoven on 1 January 2011 has been plagued by injuries. On 31 August 2012 he went on loan to Schalke in the Bundesliga for a season, returning on 30 June 2013 and then 10 August 2014 he was on loan again, this time in Greece with Olympiacos for a season.
He played 1.706 minutes of football with them including the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. Afellay has 50 international caps for Holland so while out of our age range could still be a useful option.
