Tournament experience improves players
Good to see plenty of Spurs representation in the England U21 squad for the European Championships. Other countries send their best players to the tournament, Germany did and then won the World Cup a few years later with half the team. Sitting on a bench for the senior team teaches them nothing about tournament play.
England players need to get tournament experience at international level, they freeze when it comes to a major tournament. England have to build as do Tottenham and players like Harry Kane will gain experience playing against some top defenders with different styles of defending. That can only be benefocial, it's better than travelling to Brazil for a friendly and not even playing, protecting an Arsenal player was it?
