Rare footage of Spurs from double-winning Cliff Jones
A home movie shot by former Spurs winger Cliff Jones, who Spurs bought for £35,000 in February 1958, with footage of the Tottenham team never seen before has come to light on You Tube.
Cliff Jones was a Welsh international, 59 caps 16 goals, who played for Spurs between 1958 and 1968. He played at the 1958 World Cup and was a key member of the Double Winners of 1960-61. With Spurs he also picked up the the 1962 and 1967 FA Cups plus the 1963 European Cup Winners Cup in becoming the first British side to win a major European trophy.
Cliff Jones, now 79, was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the National Football Museum, Manchester on 25th September 2013.
