'Goal scored, camera pans to Tim Sherwood before the scorer, the fans, or the guy who picked the team.'
People should let go of their petty minded Sherwood hatred
3 min read
Some fans are pathetic with their petty minded hatred of Tim Sherwood, they show themselves devoid of football knowledge when they take to Twitter.
It's sad that people have to hang on to hatred and are unable to move on with their lives, almost as if, if they don't have a hatred they don't have a purpose in life.
Well why shouldn't the camera point to Sherwood, he is the news story after all and the media are there to report the news, Is he suggesting that Tim Sherwood ordered the cameras to point to him after a goal? He isn't in control of the cameras.
Again why shouldn't they, it's a news story and he is newsworthy. The BBC want to see his passion and his reactions in a new role. Get over it.
Have you ever managed a club? Do you know anything about it? Why does Nigel Pearson watch most games from the stands? It is a sensible move as it takes him away from the limelight a little except of course you want to give him attention. I haven't heard him make a single excuse, didn't Aston Villa win? Is he making an excuse for winning?
In today's football you generally only win things with money so whether at manager today has won something or not is pretty irrelevant. Redknapp of course has major achievements, he has won two league titles, won a play-off to gain promotion to the Premier League, won the Football League Trophy, the UEFA Intertoto Cup and the FA Cup. He of course alo took Tottenham into the UEFA Champions League, something no other Spurs manager has been able to achieve.
Tim Sherwood developed the youth at Tottenham who are now in the first-team. Nabil Bentaleb was superb against Chelsea and Arsenal and we get performances like that now because of Tim Sherwood, Harry Kane is in the side because of Tim Sherwood introducing him last season. He has also won a league title and a Premier League title, more than most achieve in the game.
Being a darling of the media shows intelligence, they are vital to keep your club name in the media as that brings in sponsors. Does a sponsor want a club nobody talks about or one where the manager is always asked for his opinion by the media, in case you are struggling with the answer, it's the latter.
When you write a newspaper column then that gets quoted all over the media, it doesn't mean the manager is talking to each individual paper. Then there are the reporters ho ask them question because their comments are newsworthy, that's proven by the folk on Twitter whinging, thus the reporter is doing their job. The opinion of people like Sherwood and Redknapp help to sell papers. They know how to use it so good luck to them.
Tim Sherwood was probably the best player development organiser we have had, he has saved this club millions and therefore done a huge amount for the club. As an adult I can wish him well at his new club.

I dont hate Sherwood but am not completely biased in the other direction. Sherwood and his team, including Alex Inglethorpe did much to progress players in the abilities. He didnt do it alone.
It was tims lack of tactical ability, his 4-6 formation with advanced wing backs from the 4, Siggy as a defensive mid, walker as a right winger and of course looking for player scapegoats when things predictably didnt go to plan. In the end of his time Spurs were in a mess, his whole time had bern toxic and we had a very unpleasant summer, where many of our better players would no doubt have left in a heartbeat and the fans wouldve gladly seen them leave.
Theres no doubt that Pochettino, …
He watched harry and I believe that, consciously or not, he has based his style on him. remember, when asked if he was like harry his response was rather telling: “if I finish up one pound behind him I will have done all right”.. It is telling because he is first and foremost about Tim, not the team. Fergie and Wenger, and largely Mournho, support their players when talking to the press, but no doubt in the dressing room or on the training field the next morning th…
AVB introduced Kane yes but it was Sherwood who started playing him regularly in the Premier League at the end of the season where he showed he could perofrm at that level, something he had not shown before, it was only under Sherwood that he started to show what he could do in my view. He didn't develop players alone no, he was in charge of it, it was his responsibility to ensure it happened and at that he was a success, he brought Bentaleb to the club when nobody else would give him a chance.
Siggy didn't play as a defensive midfielder, he played central midfield that requires defending in a 4-4-2, Siggy of curse has played as a defensive midfielder, although not usually, for Iceland at international level. Either that or he was played wide but never as a defensive midfielder that I recall, which games are you referring to?
Pochettino deserves tremendous credit for what Pochettino has done, again having conducted my research, when everyone was moaning it seems I wrote he was an excellent signing and a far better manager than people realise, also that he was here for the long haul and that Levy would be sticking by him. So far so good in all those respects, although it's early days to say long-term.
And if you look at what matters most, the Premier League and compare stats then they rather undercut the crap of how badly he did during his limited time as interim head coach.
Harry of course being the only manager to have taken Tottenham into the UEFA Champions League.
Tim is asked a question about himself and because he answers it it is all about himself! You are trying to read things into stuff that to justify an opinion. It's merely a humour response to a question, it's called playing the media game.
Sherwood was an interim manager so he could afford to say and do what he felt was right, he didn't have to support the players in public because he was never going to be head coach after the season had finished. That would have been apparent to him working at the club everyday, if he had been permanent manager then you may have seen a different approach, we'll see at Villa, only then can we really know.
Fans have decided he undermined AVB but what is the actual factual evidence? People have assumed that to be fact because they want it to be, it suit their opinion. AVB shot himself in the foot by refusing to do as Daniel Levy told him to do, bring Adenbyor back into the fold. It was widely reported he refused and in any industry if you disobey the big boss you have no future.
But for people scoring goals for Sir Alex ferguson he would have been a failure because his players scoring had nothing to do with him id it! Make your mind up, you cant attribute failure and then just dismiss success as accidental. Why didn't AVB get Adebayor scoring,? Why didn't AVB keep him motivated? Was that not his job? Why couldn't AVB achieve that accident??
