Mauricio Pochettino gave Harry Kane a deserved rest having gone from third choice striker to main striker in a few months.
His goals have been indispensable for us and his performances have contained more than just goals. his hold up play in excellent and as Michael Owen said, he is not exceptional at any one thing he is a very, very good all round striker.
Owen wasn't being disparaging to Kane in any way, as some people have chosen to interpret it, but was merely stating what is clear for all to see. For me that assessment is spot on, he is not a world beater but he is talented and will be a very good player, his ability to find the corner of the net has been shown time and time again.

Kane's international chance will have to come soon although England will want to send him to the Under 21 European Championships in the summer, quite rightly. Other countries take this tournament seriously and send all their best players, even if they are regular full internationals, England should be going the same so our youngsters get used to unique atmosphere and training regime of tournament football.
Chelsea was a superb game for him and for us so enjoy the video of his match winning game that night.

“He is a mixture of everything. When people ask me if he is good enough for England, I think he is, but I am not sure if he is good enough at one thing.
“He is not exceptional at any one thing. He hasn’t got blistering pace, he isn’t 6ft 7in, he doesn’t knock players out of the way. He is not great at anything, he is a very good all-round player.
“I am saying he can do everything. I am not saying he cannot do anything. I don’t think he is exceptional at any one thing…
“Kane is like a very, very good all-round player. Is he going to be an absolute world-class player? I would be surprised if he was, but I think that he is good enough for England.”
