VIDEO: Ceballos 1 & 2 in best U21 goals of 2014 seeks exit

Cristian Ceballos went on the pre-season tour to USA and Canada showing both good moments and bad moments. He looked as though he needed more time but as with young players, some, understandably, don't want to wait.

He is 22 now so time is running out to make the breakthrough and it doesn't look like happening soon. At this stage of his career he needs to be playing first team football somewhere and not Under 21 football which is a world away from the real thing.

Ceballos claimed the top two spots in the best Spurs Under 21 goals of 2014 but has told Spanish paper Marca that he is looking to leave Tottenham in January. He tells them he doesn't think he is going to get first team opportunities under Pochettino.

“I’m waiting for January because I’m trying to leave due to a lack of first-team football. I started well, but there are 26 of us in the squad [25 man squad + BAE] and there are very few opportunities right now.
“There are some great players here and a lot of depth in the squad.”
