Spurs Striker Targets Series - 2

In the second of a series of posts we take a look at some of the targets Tottenham have been recently evaluation as we seek a replacement to add goals to our front line. Any purchases depend upon player sales and being able to clear a non-home grown player slot in the squad, as we have no places available at the moment.

Mattia Destro is still on our radar. The 23-year-old Roma forward is uncertain over his future and again has plenty of suitors, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Schalke, Wolfsburg, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea, Monaco and Fiorentina.

As you can see his career has been spent in Italian football and he has 46 goals in 114 games in total. He stands 1.81m (5ft 10in) tall and has pace and power, rather than aerial ability, his passing would need working on as well.

His wage demands though are said to be £90,000 per week and he does have a bit of a temper so we'd have to be sure first he'd deliver and second he'd get on with Mauricio Pochettino's approach.
