Talk is cheap and Tottenham are full of it

Talk is cheap and Tottenham players are full of it at the moment, talk, talk, talk is all they seem to want to talk about.

Talk is cheap and Tottenham are full of it

The Spurs players are currently doing a very good impersonation of a flock of sheep. Pochettino agrees with me that our mentality has to change and the players all start quoting to the press how we must improve our mentality, nothing changes.

Next Pochettino talks about talking and team meeting, now we have player after player coming out and saying we need to talk. This time it's Jan Vertonghen calling for talks, what have they been doing up until now then?

"It's not good enough, but we are working hard to get to where we want to be. We want to be in the top four. We are looking for our best form.
“At the start of the season there where seven or eight teams wanting (to finish) top four, and two or three will be disappointed. I hope it's not us. I am confident we can finish in the top four.
“After this week we need to talk. Belief is still there. Hopefully we can be honest with each other, and turn things around."

Mauricio Pochettino revealed the players can talk to the coaching staff, can talk to Younes Kaboul and have meetings themselves, so if Jan Vertonghen has called for an honest meeting does that means the other meeting have been less than honest? Does that mean they have been a complete waste of time?

The answer unfortunately is yes as I have pointed out before. half these players don't know they have a problem so unless Hugo Lloris is going to stand up and tell them a few home truths about what it takes to be a winner and name names then nothing is going to come of it. They will all simply nod their heads and agree thinking and think the problem is someone else's unless he names names.

That isn't going to happen which makes a team meeting a complete waste of time. They were unable to sort out there problems last season, why are they suddenly going to be able to do it now? It would take a complete attitude change.
