Chadli hoping to start for Belgium on Friday

Nacer Chadli has started the season well at Tottenham and is in excellent form, apart from the aberration against WBA when the interchanging seemed to be an aelien concept for our front men. They deserved the roasting they got after that performance.
Chadli has been named in the Belgium squad along with Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen for the games against Andorra, Friday October 10 in Brussels and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Monday October 13 in Zenica.
He is not always a starter, indeed his last start was in the opening Group H match against Algeria at the World Cup. Belgium drew that game 2-2 and Chadli was substituted at half-time. He is hoping his four goal start to the season in six Premier League games gets him the nod. In addition to that of course he laid on the pass for Christian Eriksen to fire home the winner against Southampton on Sunday.

He is certainly in better club form than he was prior to the World Cup so may well get the nod to reproduce that form at international level.

"I play the position the coach gives me. In the previous campaign, I've almost always played.
"Witsel is out, so there will be a vacancy in the triangle in midfield. With the Red Devil (Belgium), I have already played centrally so I can play that role."
