Player Performance
Younès Kaboul many will say had an excellent game but I'd beg to differ, he looked totally lost at times, dwelt on the ball, was all at sea from corners and his days as a Premier League centre-back look numbered. He didn't have a bad game but he didn't have a good one either and Étienne Capoue looked more accomplished than him.He has one year left on his contract and hasn't recovered any form after his long spell out with injuries. He only won 40% of his headers whereas makeshift Capoue won the lot. He is looking laboured and slow now, against any sort of attacking threat he looked as if he would have been taken apart.
When he brought the ball out of defence it summed his game up, he took so long to decide what to do with the ball that in the end he did nothing as was dispossessed in a very dangerous area.
The club can't afford to wait to see if he will get the form back he had for one season 3 seasons ago, it's time to move him on.
