Performance Report
Christian Eriksen had a game to enjoy, he had time and space to play passes as well as playing one touch football but when we needed to close down he did that too. The first goal was because he and Capoue together with Bantaleb crowded out Remy on the half way line and Eriksen put in a tackle. The ball broke to Bentaleb who surged forward, passed to Adebayor who chipped a ball to the far post for Chadli to coolly finish.Tackling back was not a great feature of his game last season stuck on the left but was in evidence in the middle of the park, aswith the first goal but with Chadli, Lamela and Adebayor all interchanging with him he could be found on the right or the left at times.
His free kick was hit with great pace and it cannoned off the underside of the bar but stayed out with former England keeper Robert Green beaten all ends up. Not a game to read to much into as it was so easy with Capoue and Bentaleb controlling the centre but one or two passes could have been better around the box, generally though an excellent match.
