Before we get into today's Tottenham News Shorts - Issue 26 here is a quick list of some of the recent articles you may have missed. Click on the links to find out more and share on your favourite social media sites.

We are looking into Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodríguez is what I hear. You look at his figures and he is a cut above Luke Shaw and Ben Davies.

The new kits are on sale online. I expect the counterfeiters have done their homework and these will be what the Tottenham 2014/15 Home Shirt and the Tottenham 2014/15 Away Shirt will look like.

Spurs wouldn't be Spurs without a quote or two from Mr Tottenham himself, Bill Nicholson. Read these and think of today's players, do they match up to what he and we expect?

Right let's get into the Tottenham News Shorts - Issue 26, recent news which concerns Paul Pogba & Didier Drogba, Steven Caulker's wages, Romelu Lukaku, Divock Origi, Imoh Ezekiel, Alexis Sánchez and Giovanni Dos Santos.

Chelsea have submitted a bid for Paul Pogba and after him in a big way. The Juventus player starred for France at the World Cup and looking a superstar player in the making. He would make a high quality edition to deep pockets at Stamford Bridge.

There are also thoughts that Didier Drogba may return as a player-coach as he prepares for life after playing football. far from a certainty but it's under discussion.

Steven Caulker is asking an amazing £80,000 a week wages which rather explains why Tottenham have not re-signed him, why Liverpool have lost interest, why Arsenal now don't want him.

OPR and Crystal Palace are interested but are they interested in £80,000 a week!

With striker targets talking to different clubs, Remy to Arsenal, Bony to Liverpool, Romelu Lukaku is the other name in our list of three.

Spurs have made a bid for the 21 year-old Belgian which Chelsea have rejected.

Having spoken to Liverpool, 19 year-old fellow Belgian international Divock Origi travelled to London for talks.

At this rate we'll be overrun with Belgians.

Spurs are considering a striker for the future and he is not a Belgian! Imoh Ezekiel however does play for Belgian Pro League club Standard Liège.

The 20 year-old Nigerian was disappointed not to get a call up to the World Cup squad but would welcome a move to the Premier League.

"I want to play one day away from Belgium. To play in the English league would be a dream come true.

"I have been linked with many teams, but a French team or an English team would be attractive to me."
He has a contract until 2017 however and it's not like us to sign players who are not coming to the end of existing deals, it makes them cheaper.

News has reached my ears that Barcelona are not too unhappy that Alexis Sánchez has left. By all accounts he is a poor trainer and created friction in the dressing room at the Nou Camp.

Arsenal may be falling over themselves over the signing but in football nothing is guaranteed so we'll wait and see whether it was money well spent.

Players who are honoured to play for their country often put more effort in, play better and raise their game when playing for their nation, rather than their club.

Giovanni Dos Santos was a prime example of this, forever in a bar, when he did get on the field he did nothing and once even just sat on the floor in a Europa League tie.

When an international came round he had motivation and performed better, yet he wasn't playing with those players or that system every week. Clearly he could have internally motivated himself better and his failure at Spurs is solely down to him.
