Lamela is like a new £30m signing
Erik Lamela is looking to show Spurs fans what he can do this season and if he is as good as the hype that surrounded his arrival then we will be seeing a player next season.
The two videos below, the first of his goal and performance against FC Sheriff in the Europa League and the second against Fulham at Craven Cottage, show a player with ability clearly and vision.

How strong is Lamela's confidence now?
He can see a pass, see a teammate and in tight situations pick a player out, if he has added that vital ingredient of confidence, and every indication Lamela stand up.
Every picture he looks happy, he is active on social media, it all points to improved confidence and the right mental approach. He just now needs a good start and the Premier League may have to sit up and take notice.
The signing of fellow Argentinian Mauricio Pochettino as head coach can only help him. Pochettino has himself played abroad is Spain, managed abroad and now here in the UK so he has the experience Lamela can benefit from. Pochettino was an Argentinian international as well so if the two form a bond then Lamela will settle. Both sides seem determined to make this a success which will be a treat for fans.
While other clubs are signing stars, we have some already, if he produces then he as good a signing as anyone has made this summer. It's not always about who you buy but about getting the best out of who you've bought.

“I feel really good. I feel fit and I hope it will be a good season ahead.
“I hope to show everyone what I can do, especially for the fans and of course for the club. I’m grateful to the fans for their affection, that’s very important for me.
“Hopefully I will get the chance to play and then I will try and perform as well as I can.”
