Former interim manager Tim Sherwood has written an excellent piece about Nabil Bentaleb and feels he is Just right for Pochettino's system as his displays at the World Cup suggest. I have to say I totally agree with him and Gary Neville who felt we had found a talent as soon as he saw him.

Espanyol are now resigned to losing Mexican centre-back Héctor Moreno after president Joan Collet revealed the La Liga side had received an opening bid for the 26 year-old. Pochettino bought him for Espanyol in 2011.

A young talent has apparently been ordered to Sign a contract extension or be consigned to reserve team football next season at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven which has alerted us to his availability. Have a look at his quick stats guide.

Right let's get into the Tottenham News Shorts - Issue 8 recent news which concerns Lewis Holtby, Damien Dussaut, Valter Birsa, Marcelo Brozović, Miguel Lopes and Nabil Bentaleb.

French daily newspaper L’Equipe claim Tottenham have been talking with 19 year-old French left-back Damien Dussaut since Thursday. The French U20 international Dussaut ia a Valenciennes player but was playing for their second team last season in the French Second Division.

Lewis Holtby was not impressed with Luis Suarez biting Giorgio Chiellin for which he has received a four month ban.

“For me, if you do it the third time in a row now, it’s a bit like a disgrace.

“It’s not fair play at all.”

Incidentally for all the Holtby fans it is thought that Pochettino is keen on the 23 year-old German so you can expect to see him staying at White Hart Lane this summer.

The Uruguayans seemed to think it was fair and came out with all sorts of excuses to have their cheat stay with them at the World Cup. Fortunately we don't have to endure them any longer as they lost 2-0 to Colombia.

New AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi has told Valter Birsa that he doesn't have a future at the San Siro.

The 27 year-old Slovinian, who will be 28 before the season starts, is primarily an attacking midfielder but can play on either wing. His strengths are crossing and long shots and he is on offer at £4 million.

Last season he only played 750 minutes, which is equivalent to 8.33 full games and scored 2 goals. He played 229 minutes in the Champions League and 117 in the Italian Cup, providing an assist in each.

I reported our interest in Croatian playmaker Marcelo Brozović the other day and was amused to read claims the 21-year-old was part of the side that lost to Brazil and Mexico in the World Cup, although impressed during the 4-0 victory over Cameroon.

In fact he played 30 minutes in the defeat to Brazil and DIDN'T play against Mexico or Cameroon, so quite how he impressed sitting on the bench in a 4-0 win I'm not sure!

Spurs have indicated that they are willing to pay £4 million for Sporting right-back Miguel Lopes according to Portuguese paper Record. The 27 year-old spent last season on loan at Lyon in Ligue 1.

Nabil Bentaleb tweeted after Algeria made it to the knockout stages of the 2014 World Cup.

"Yes we made it! It's all about how hard you want it! A dream has become true."

Next up is the Germans for Bentaleb when he is sure to start his fourth  World Cup game.
