Adebayor, Vucinic, Arnold, Traore

Juventus star Mirko Vucinic is one of a number of players Spurs are considering as they weigh up all their options on the list of potential targets they have. The Montengrin international is 30 so doesn't fit with Spurs transfer policy but is a consistent goalscorer without being prolific. He would command wages of around £60,000 a week.

Maximilian Arnold is another, he is a 19 year-old striker with Wolfsburg who scored 7 times and had 2 assists from midfield. As with most promising youngsters a host of European clubs are watching his situation. The German international is under contract until 2017 though.

Monaco striker Lacina Traore is reported to be wanted on-loan until the end of next season for which we'd pay a £2 million fee. The 24 year-old Ivorian is a giant at 6' 8" (2.03m), his wages would be around £30,000 a week. He had a loan spell at Everton and would be a reserve striker rather than a starter.

As reported previously Monaco want Emmanuel Adebayor who is effectively taking a £40,000 a week pay cut if he remains at Spurs. The extra money from Manchester City he demanded to supplement his wages or he wouldn't leave has run out.

Adebayor is now on £100,000 a week instead of £140,000 a week so if Monaco could offer him extra then it's a choice of staying at Spurs or moving for bigger wages again. He has indicated he is happy at Spurs and he doesn't play for contracts but we do know he plays for money so nothing is certain.
