Spurs game goes ahead

Tonight's Dnipro vs Tottenham Hotspur tie goes ahead despite fears it may be postponed after the countries president said there should be no sporting fixtures played today.

Both teams will observe a minutes silence in honour of the 20 people who died in Kiev as a result of clashes between anti-government protesters and the police. Spurs will be wearing black armbands and travelling supporters will be told not to display any banners as a mark of respect.

Tim Sherwood says Spurs are just focused on the game:

"No security travelled on the plane or at the hotel, we feel comfortable. We just concentrate on the game. It is never great to see violence in any country at any time but it is something we are not concentrating on. We will do our job. Hopefully when we leave tomorrow we will be happy."

Michael Dawson reiterated those sentiments saying:

"We have come over here to play football. It is not for us to comment what is happening in Ukraine. We are here to concentrate on football. Ukraine is a tough place to come but it is about us."

SPURS SQUAD: Friedel, Archer, Gomes, Naughton, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose, Fryers, Veljkovic, Capoue, Onomah, Eriksen, Bentaleb, Paulinho, Chadli, Townsend, McEvoy, Sigurdsson, Soldado, Kane.
