Man on Fire

Emmanuel Adebayor is set to miss a long trip to Ukraine to take on the Juande Ramos trained Dinipro.

Ade has been playing with a slight dead leg for the past couple of games so this is an opportune time to rest him now he is, as he said he would be, our number 1 striker. Eight goals in just ten Premier League games plus a couple of assists is on a par with the best in the league.

Roberto Soldado will be able to have a run out and will hopefully get and take chances to improve his confidence. Whilst he contributes and whilst he has assists to his name it is his goals that we bought him for.

Younes Kaboul had a sterling game against Newcastle so plenty of rest for him after the game is no bad thing, especially as at one point he looked to be injured.

Quite how Tim Sherwood will approach this tie is unclear. Will Nabil Bentaleb play or will he rest him for the remaining league games? Etienne Capoue had a solid game as well so he may enjoy the luxury of two games on the trot.

Andros Townsend you would expect will be given the chance to get some fitness, he has not looked match fit yet, which is hardly surprising. If Kaboul is to play in the next league game then Dawson will surely lead the side.

With Naughton continuing to worry fans whenever he gets the ball it would be good to see Zeki Fryers given a game. The midfield depends upon fitness. It would be an ideal game to play Sigurdsson for instance but it all depends on fitness, a week is a long time, well it is for a supporter starved of action.
