Chadli to Swansea & Messi to Spurs

Sky Sports are claiming Nacer Chadli is wanted by Swansea on loan until the end of the season.

If it comes off it will be good news for Spurs and good news for Chadli. One one hand he will get game time and on the other Tottenham will benefit by him getting a few months Premier League football under his belt.

He has shown little for Spurs and is unlikely to feature with Andros Townsend coming back from injury and Gylfi Sigurdsson preferred anyway. Spurs can then reassess the situation in the summer and determine if he has a future as a Premier League player.

Whilst Tim Sherwood has said no more players will be leaving there seems little point in keeping him.

Sherwood also said there was 'zero chance' of any arrivals unless Lionel Messi became available!

"Lionel Messi would be great, wouldn't he? It would be great if we could get him at the 11th hour.

"Fans always want to sign strikers, but we signed seven players in the summer - not a lot of teams did that - so we're okay."

"Berbatov? No. I like him and think he's a very good player, but we've got strikers here who can do a very good job.

"I don't think there's any mileage in Konoplayanka."

"Zero chance [of any more signings]. "Very relaxed. It's not always the way, just to buy players.

"We need to put things together, like a jigsaw here, and I've got real trust in the players that we've got."
