All quiet on the Western Front
Tim Sherwood has been speaking to the media prior to tomorrows game against in form Manchester City who hastened Andre Villas-Boas out the door at Tottenham after humiliating us 6-0.
Emmanuel Adebayor has always shown hunger when playing Man City or Arsenal, a bit more than hunger if we are honest, he got sent off against Arsenal when we were 2-0 up, a game we eventually lost 5-2. Sherwood has praised his rejuvenated and in form striker again today.
"He's been great ever since I've come into this job. I've given him a platform to play and he's not let me down. It looks like he's enjoying his football and he surely will be up for this game tomorrow.
"There's no small and big games for Ade at the moment, he seems like he's motivated just as much for every game he plays. He is one of the top strikers in the Premier League in my opinion, and it's important that we keep giving him the service.
"He relies on the other players as well, and we're relying on him so he'll be crucial for us to get where we want to be. At times he can be unplayable, I think a lot of centre-backs who have marked him will tell you that on his day he can be formidable and long may that continue because at the moment he's proving very, very hard to mark."

On the transfer front it was expected to be quiet and is quiet. Having bought a lot of new players and with a trainee manager or Head Coach as we call them now at Spurs, purchases were always going to be unlikely. Once we have decided what we are doing in the summer, be it stick or twist, then the Head Coach may look to change things around more to their taste.
On transfer news Sherwood told the media: "We're not actually looking for anything. Unless something drastic happens between now and the end of the window then we won't be bringing anyone in.
"I am happy with the squad we have here. It is a big squad after we brought seven new players in last summer and I trust this group of players to take us where we want to be.
"But it is possible that there may be players leaving, although if no one was to go then I would be delighted."
He was asked about Lewis Holtby and Etienne Capoue both of whom have been linked away from the club this window in search of first team football..
"I like Lewis. He is a good lad and one of the best trainers at the club.
"But I understand, as I do with all players, that they want to play and if they are not getting a lot of opportunities then sometimes you have to be fair to the player. But first and foremost my job is to do what's right for this football club.
"As for Capoue, it the same as Lewis. He's a good lad, good trainer and has never given me a minute's problem. However, as I said, you have to be fair to the players. We have a lot of players in that midfield area and if an opportnity does arise, and it's right for the football club, then we will let players move on."
