Complacency

Complacency - a feeling of quiet pleasure or security, often while unaware of some potential danger, defect, or the like; self-satisfaction or smug satisfaction with an existing situation, condition, etc.

All I've heard from us Spurs fans is that we shouldn't worry about today's game as the City game is by far the most important.

Hold on a second! City's game will be the most important game this season, IF we beat Bolton today at White Hart Lane.

A lot of my mates think that all we have to do is simply turn up and the 3 points will be in the bag.

Need I not remind you of what happened when "we turned up" to play Wolves at home? What about the Stoke fiasco? I suppose you could throw the 0-0 draw against Hull into the mix to. Oh, and I nearly forgot the magic word....Portsmouth.

I don't want to sound like too much of a pessimist, but just turning up, doesn't guarantee a win. I think it's fair to say that some of the Bolton players will already be at the beach, but never underestimate Owen Coyle and his dynamism.

You can expect Coyle to pack his midfield and try to make it especially hard for us. If we are to win and win comfortably, we'll need to get an early goal. If we can score within the first 10 minutes, the Lane will start buzzing.

We obviously hope for a win, but let's also hope for a superb atmosphere that will send the players into Wednesday night's game on a high.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Bolton
