Van Man
We've been linked with Marc van Bommel, again. Last time was when Jol was boss, back in 2005.
He's a pretty decent player, or was about 2 years ago. I've not seen him play since.
Apparently, Harry's is in the market for an experienced central midfielder that can compliment Wilson and to be honest, I agree that signing a player of the van Bommel ilk could be a decent bit of business.
Do you know of any other experienced central midfield players that could do a job for us?

I do think it is essential that we bring in another tough-tackling midfielder before the end of this transfer window - and preferably before we play Liverpool on August 16th.
And I don't think this sort of player should be brought in with the idea of being a back-up player to Palacious, but rather someone who can play alongside him - especially away from home or against the top four sides.
Jenas and Huddlestone are not good enough or strong enough to compliment Palacious in the centre of midfield and I can see why Harry is trying to sign an experienced midfielder like Vieria or Van Bommel.
Just imagine going into the Liverpool game with a midfield of: Modric; Palacious; Van Bommel or Poulsen and Lennon.
He would be a waste of time and money.
If so, well done on the over-the-hill comment, seeing as you have been linked with a return for old lazy legs Vieira.
Twunt.
Gattuso on the other hand, well, that's a whole different kettle of fish. How I would love to see his combatitive spirit in the EPL and in the colours of Tottenham Hotspur.
