No thanks to a swap, but we'll take Carrick

It was well documented on a fair few Man U forums at the end of last season that Michael Carrick had fallen out with Sir Alex.

In the last week or so, I had my suspicion that Sir Alex has had his eye on The Modfather. Thankfully, Luka came out and kicked that rumour into touch.

I would love to have Carrick back. Even though the Hudd has been playing well in the middle of the park with Sgt. Wilson, I could see Carrick finalising the first 11. He would be a fantastic signing.

Can't see it happening, but there's always that small chance of Harry pulling off a coup like this one, although it looks like he's got his eye on Joe Cole. Can't see that one happening either.

I'd take Carrick over Cole. Okay, they're different players, but Carrick, in my opinion, is needed to push us forward.

Anyway, that's enough of my dreaming for the time being. I'm interested to see if Harry will pick a weakened side to face Doncaster tomorrow. Should be an interesting match as the Donny's like to get in your face. Could be a tricky tie.

  1. our weakened side could be as follows: Cudicini, hutton, bale, chimbonda, bassong or corluka. Bentley, o'hara, dos santos and huddlestone then crouch and pav up front... not a bad back up..
  2. Speak for yourself. I wouldn't have him back. Martin Jol told him he was basing the team around him and made him one of Englands best centres, and Carrick repaid him with no loyalty. No thanks, Happy with Hudd

  5. I'm still in favor of signing Aiden McGeady. Let Modric shift inside and you'd have two true wingers in Lennon and McGeady.

    Huds to the bench, but that's a valuable addition.

  7. Carrick was sh*t when it comes to loyalty. No thanks, I would rather have Jenas in there, or Hudd.
  8. Its the obvious that modric will end up wearing a united shirt if not this season then next season. Cannot see carick wanting to come back it would be a step backwards.

  10. The success of Spurs is steel in the middle with Hudd flinging himself around much more than he ever did. Carrick is a luxury player in my book but not a steely player. And to anonymous who has included Boeteng - Vinni Jones without the talent!!! has he ever seen him play? He came on for 10 mins against Posh and was subbed - he is terrible....Sometimes I think some of you lot would pick the following formation to include every signing you want 8-12-3 Get real...
  11. You dont know what your talking about mate. Stuff Carrick he can stay at united or join Campbell at notts county for all i care. Hudds and Palacious are all we need in the middle. And for what you said about preferring Carrick to Cole you've got to be mental. what have we been asking for? A left sided player and then Modric can move into a more central role behind the strikers. YOU MUG
  12. West Ham fans showed their true colours last night. After years of trying to pretend that Spurs were their main rivals they reverted to type and showed their true feelings (or was it hatred) for their real local rivals Millwall.I'm sure most West Ham fans were as appalled by the violence as I was and think that the minority of fans have once again spoiled it for everyone
