I have to agree. If we have 15m+ to spend on a striker I wish spurs would stop always looking for young potential that may develop and therefore can be resold for a profit. Yes we need some of them players but we also need to sign established top players aswel if we want to make the step up to breaking into the top 4. Huntelaar has a fantastic scoring record throughout his career. Which of these two i'd want to see in a lilywhite shirt is a no brainer for me

I've watched Almeria quite a few times this season and a few last, Negredo is a quality striker and anyone who can score 19 goals with the kind of service they provide has to be good
I hope we sign him, he looks better than any of our current lot, with a wider rang of strengths.
Of course he'll have to adapt to the PL, but he's got the physical attributes tall, strong pacy and pretty good skills and unlike our lot has an excellent first touch, good with both feet too even though he's naturally left footed
Compared to the money paid for Santa Cruz and demanded for Jones Negredo looks cheap anywhere around 15 mill

Like to point out something, It is highly likely that we will sell 1 or 2 more players before buying, after we did'nt qualify for europe we lost out on playing a lot of games and also a lot of revenue. We need to reduce our wage bill and players to be able to keep the ones we have happy with a chance of getting a game... So more likely we will see players leaving than players coming in, So that we sold Gunter and Zakora does not mean we have space yet for other players. Still an over loaded squad... Crouch looks a gangley tool but scored some great goals for the scousers and formed a good partnership with JD. It not all about just having great individuals but having players play well as a team. Having said that I would still prefer Huntelaar!

I cant believe some of what im reading!!! Since he came to us Arry has barely made a mistake. Do you think Ramos was about to turn it round? He didnt fancy English football and engineered his own sacking.Redknapp solved our 2 biggest problems straight away by signing Palacios and moving Modric out to the left. I think we all pretty much agree that Palacios was a great signing, and exacly what we needed, and Harrys getting slagged off for being linked with players he might not even be after. Who cares what team he beat in the FA cup final? He also went to Old Trafford and knocked them out that year (something we couldnt do). If you want to judge him at least wait until the season has started.

just a note to say i was at bournemouth game and danny rose played really well on the left.i spoke to harry after the match for seconds and asked him about signings and all he said was were trying before being whisked off by security.He also owes my mate a marker pen as he pinched it after signing stuff.Glad to see most of the players signed the kids shirts etc especially bentley who made a great effort to do as many as possible.However i would like to say that asshole-ekotto is an arrogant prick who ignored all the young fans running past everyone to the bus as if he was something special. i would also like to say jermaine jenas was on the bus for the fella who was asking where he was.pav was piss poor and missed a sitter that even arys wife could have scored.

It amazes me that we as surs fans can sit around and make judgements on a man who, lets be honest, helped our team overturn our form and play as a team who, given a whole season at that level, would have finished 5th (statistically speaking)

Whether you like crouch or not, and I personally think he's a solid, premiership striker, with a proven partnership wth JD (the only safe triker of ours if you believe reports) who scored just 1 fewer (11) than Bent (12) in the prem. This, in a season where the golden boot went to a player scoring just 19 goals. He ws also, the 9th best striker in the prem last season (an actim index of 392, 1 place beneath Wayne Rooney)

We are, undoubtedly, turning into a side that is strong on the wings with Lennon finally getting his final ball in good shape and Modric playing pretty damned well for a first season in the prem.
